Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why refill or buy remanufactured cartridges?
With inkjet cartridges selling for $45 each this is where the manufacturer makes money. At only $8-$18 per cartridge, having them refilled saves you money. Approximately 780 million perfectly good cartridges end up in the garbage each year.
2. Why Inkjet Refill?
We have a proven system that works for the over 100,000 cartridges we refill every year. Our products, training and support are leading edge in the industry. With an eye on operational cost we have developed the best refill system in North America.
3. Are your products guaranteed?
Today we are filling over 100,000 cartridges each year for customers. All products have a 100% 30-day money back guarantee, for the business owner and the consumer.
4. Where are Inkjet Refill stores located?
Most of our locations are in Western Canadian shopping malls. You may also find us in convenience stores, food chains and other partners’ retail locations.
5. How many times can a cartridge be refilled?
It depends on the cartridge model and wear and tear, but on average 3-6 times.
6. If I am interested in owning a franchise, where do I start?
We have a list of locations that are interested in us, so now is the time! Read the information in the Franchises section of this site and contact us. We will review legal documents with you and put you in touch with existing kiosk operators to make sure this is the business for you.
7. What training will I receive as a franchise owner?
We believe the best way to learn the business is by being immersed. You will spend 3 to 5 full days in one of our kiosks. The lodging and travel is at your expense. The trainer is paid by Inkjet Refill. You will have the chance to operate the business as if it was yours and getting hands on experience refilling practice cartridges and finally customers’ cartridges.
8. Will I need more training?
Yes, you will find yourself on the phone regularly the first 2 weeks with our trainer. Expect a huge learning curve the first three months. You will need to let the consumer know you are new and generally they are very understanding.
9. What support do I receive after three months?
You can call our suppliers during business hours, and our kiosks are available to support each other. If you or one of your staff doesn’t know how to do something, any of our locations can be contacted for answers. Remember we all do the same thing at about the same hours. Our trainer is available for ongoing support on all technical and government related issues.
10. What hours does my business operate?
The mall administration will have set hours required of all retailers. Therefore, your operating hours will depend on which location your store is in.
11. What protection do I have from a competitor starting a business near me?
You will receive indirect competition. However, the landlord will add a lease provision prohibiting another kiosk operator in the mall duplicating your services.
